Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known as a naive character who are adorable and enjoyable. Adams was lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as one of the seven kids who was her smallest. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. When she moved to Minnesota where she was a part of a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. After making her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant, she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband was actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and began her career in film during the latter half of 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular films over the following decade including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
