Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. Along with BJJ, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd kept building on her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents in the first round. She returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's professional career. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her very first professional fight. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to take down McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen continued to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight but Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina and ground-and-pounded her in the second round to secure a TKO victory. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd won the fight at the start of round one, and received the Performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd took home the fight of the night bonus after both fighters fought an intense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in UFC in ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
