The kids were in the crib while I was strapped to an infant to my back. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however it was still a long distance away. It would take a great deal of effort and an enthusiasm of shopping. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while going to estate sales in order to help reduce my expenses. Our routine for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through estate sales and garage sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces and then I would spend weekends painting and sanding the driveway. The look was a little similar to the following... Here is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. It didn't matter if the house was already decorated. In the market in town I was able to rent a tiny area and then sold a few objects. Then I bought more that I had no idea what to do with and had outgrown the space. I held open houses at my residence where 1 thousand people would visit over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the ground level. Growing Days was founded in my house. Apart from my successful business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to balance being a mother and a successful business owner. Growing Days was the obvious decision. It was in 2013 when my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth baby. While I was pleased with the direction that my business took, I felt like I had to take a little break. I decided to slow down and spend some time at home, with my kids. It was exactly the thing I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes I began to hear my phone ringing. People were calling me and seeking help for their interior decorating and home remodeling. These were mostly customers that came to my residence to buy furniture. Once I had a few months, I took on clients at my pace. In no time, I was managing numerous accounts as well as a home renovations company. When you first told me about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's funny to think back on the idea.
